Ok so I needed to bump that journal off my page x3 thankyou everyone for the well wishes this birthday! The soul silver pokemon game comes out this sunday so expect me to drop off the face of the earth for a week or so LOL. Don't worry I won't forget about commissions!

iv been really missing having a doggie companion once again now that the weather is fine and my solo walks are really lonely. The dogs that I have owned in my lifetime have all been mutts/mixed breeds of dubious breed origin rescued from shelters except for the first which was a pet-store pup. I have however wanted to get a pure-bred from a good breeder at some point in my life. My pure bred 'dream' dog has changed many times over the years and the more I learn about myself and interaction with dogs narrows down my breed search. It would be nice to deal with a dog not abused pre-adoption or spoilt (not that I don't love my other dogs).

Currently my dream dog is the CORGI! x3 has anyone here owned a corgi and can tell me your experience with them? My favourite of the two breeds is the Cardigan corgi:


but my husband leans more towards the pembroke when given a choice between the two:


I have heard good and bad things about both, the most frequent common being that both can be independent and stubborn and have a propensity to nip if not trained.
The only thing that puts me off the pembroke is that iv heard they can be bark machines, dogs that have a high pitched bark and do so frequently really get on my nerves, I have had some success with training a dog not to bark as much but she already had the disposition to be a quiet animal. That and I found it useful to read a dog by its tail, im sure you can learn to with a nub tailed dog too but its easier at a glance x3 a happy wagging tail brings much joy to me too.
However my god I couldn't have chosen a rarer dog for my province, as far my research has taken me there are NO cardigan corgi breeders in BC and only a couple 'maybes' in the next province over.
Don't get me wrong we are in no position to own another animal right now and all this would be happening in years time probably but I would have liked to get to know the breed in person and perhaps form a rapport with the breeder so I would have contact for when I am able to get said dog.

So does anyone have some stories they can tell me about their corgis or experiences with the dogs? x3 I know every dog is an individual and not all conform to the breed stereotype so that is why im curious for personal accounts.

Hokay! Well I did it, I put all of my personal art in storage and took what art I had drawn of my characters and species off DA. I won't ask those people who have characters or art of my species up to take them down because thats their choice to post them :}

Like I said before I AM NOT LEAVING DA. I am simply taking my personal art off it and will only be submitting commission work and DA user related art here from now on. My apologies to those of you who enjoyed seeing my personal art here.

When I have time I will be making a stand in header for my journal and deviantID. I backed up all my stored art here on DA except for some reason the very first.. 5 or so artworks I ever submitted to DA. When I click on them I can't view them? Weird? I want to save them >.<!
